Health Ministry

Elevated Church's Health Ministry grows out of the faith that God is the creator and healer of our bodies and the author of science and medicine. His message of Shalom is meant for humans in a holistic way — body, mind, and spirit. Jesus had a healing ministry and as His disciples we follow His leading.

As a ministry, we reaffirm the church's mission to the whole person regardless of their state of wellness. We understand that God continues to be our Healer even though there may be no earthly cure.

Through prayers, presence, and programs we facilitate the community's enjoyment of health as a blessing from the Lord. Faith community nursing is our backbone and combines intentional care of the spirit with the skills and passion of nurses.

Scripture Basis:

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you? Therefore honor God with your bodies. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)

Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well. (3 John 1:2)

Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter — when you see the naked, to clothe them? (Isaiah 58:7)
