Facilities Ministry
About
Keeping the church clean, comfortable, and welcoming — tending to the house of God with faithful hands.
We are all called to serve. In Genesis 2, God gives the Garden of Eden to Adam and Eve to tend to, watch over, and maintain. In Numbers, God speaks to Moses and instructs him to appoint a whole tribe for the upkeep of the temple.
Since we are all called to serve in some form or another — some to preach, some to teach, some to clean and maintain — we should all be tending to the work that God has created us for.
We believe that the church should be a clean, comfortable, and welcoming place for people to worship and feel God's presence. The needs of the church Facilities Ministry may require some hard labor at times inside the building and out: landscaping, painting, cleaning, and organizing.
Scripture Basis:
The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. (Genesis 2:15)
Appoint the Levites to be in charge of the tabernacle of the covenant law — over all its furnishings and everything belonging to it. (Numbers 1:50)
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters. (Colossians 3:23)
