Long time no see

Long time no see

Blessings to you today in Jesus name!
I miss you all so much. It’s been too long since we’ve all been together. So many aspects of our daily lives and routines, we’ve taken for granted. Who would have ever thought that a virus named “corona” could cause such catastrophic repercussions all over the world!

God only knows when this will end. In the meantime we continue to pray for those who are sick and dying, for those who have lost their jobs and loved ones during this horrible pandemic.
We pray God’s mercy over our nation and the world.

God did not send this plague. Satan is the one who comes to steal, kill and destroy. God loves the world so much that He gave His only son Jesus Christ to die so that those who would believe in Him would have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

Daily,I think of you and pray for you and your family. Now I’m reading a lot in Psalms.
Psalm 91 is one of my favorite psalms. It’s a prayer of protection.
However, starting with Psalms 90-106 is so encouraging and then continuing Psalms 107 to the last Psalm 150. These psalms are so encouraging and will build your faith.
Psalm 91 is one I pray over all of us.

The lyrics of an old song keeps running through my mind….”God’s Wonderful People”
written by Lanny Wolfe in the 70’s. I remember singing it as a young adult and we’ve sung it here at our church many years ago.
Remember this song?
I love the thrill that I feel when I get together with God’s wonderful people
Love the thrill that I feel when I get together with God’s wonderful people
What a sight just to see all the happy faces
Praising God in heavenly places
What a thrill that I feel when I get together with God’s wonderful people

In the light of where we are today, the words of this song resonate so true for me during this time of “social distancing” and “safety at home”.
I miss seeing everyone at our Monday practices, Sunday morning and Wednesday night services.

I miss seeing your faces as we meet to make a joyful noice to God.
I miss singing and praising Him in the sanctuary, together with everyone lifting their hands and voices, praising His holy name.

I miss the “all ya’ll faith” and the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit as we all get together for one purpose….” to praise and worship and pray to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

I miss the wonderful aroma of bacon in our lobby, I miss seeing many of our church family enjoying Sunday breakfast in the cafe, eating good food, talking, laughing and enjoying fellowship together.
Oh how I miss seeing the youth and adults in the kitchen, welcoming everyone, taking their orders and cooking a delicious breakfast.

I miss seeing the teens and children as they add such excitement and enthusiasm to all our lives.
I miss hearing the prayer teams praying in the prayer room and the sanctuary.

I miss hearing the random “amens” and “hallelujahs” of the saints during a typical Sunday service.
I miss seeing the “greeters” greeting everyone with a smile, hug and a hand shake.
I miss seeing the ushers doing their Sunday job helping people, taking the offering and giving direction when needed. I miss hearing the chatter of those gathering in the lobby before and after services.

Not being able to meet with the family of God leaves a big void in my life and I’m sure yours too!

(Those who know this song, sing it……….)
“I love the thrill that I feel when I get together with God’s wonderful people
Love the thrill that I feel when I get together with God’s wonderful people
What a sight just to see all the happy faces
Praising God in heavenly places
What a thrill that I feel when I get together with God’s wonderful people”

What I miss most during this corona virus crisis is….BEING WITH ALL OF YOU.

Love to you all,
Gail T.

This time has reminded me of the verse “I was glad when they said unto me, let us go into the house of the Lord”. I will be so glad when we can all meet together too.
